This past weekend the Rally Across America Tour made it's 12th and final stop at the Pacific Beach Festival in San Diego. The Pacific Beach Festival welcomed us with a great site nearly one hundred feet from the beautiful Pacific Ocean. With this being the last stop on the tour we wanted to make sure we went out with a bang. The morning weather hindered our setup as it rained for about an hour. Once the rain passed the clouds disappeared and the California sun I was expecting finally came out. We welcomed eight rescue groups on Saturday, which all stayed busy throughout the day. The crowd was a steady stream of pet loving San Diegoans who loved playing with the friendly animals.
The treadmills were being used as well. We logged 9 hours and 35 minutes on the treadmills to help raise money to support pet rescue. One group stole the show this weekend. San Diego Animal Rescue brought a bunch of cute dogs and cats to the event. This groups tent was filled all day with people inquiring about adopting their pets. They were lucky enough to find twelve wonderful pets new loving homes. When adoptions happen at these events, it makes all the hard work worth while. This whole tour has been a great experience and I hope it will continue to be a success in the future.
